It encompasses the exchange of information and ideas across borders, significantly shaping our understanding of the world. From diplomacy and international relations to business and cultural exchange, global communication is pivotal in fostering collaboration and mutual understanding among diverse populations. This article aims to provide an overview of global communication, its significance, and its multifaceted implications in contemporary society.

Review of Literature

Global communication has evolved significantly over the past few decades, largely driven by advancements in technology. According to Castells (2009), the rise of digital communication has transformed how individuals and institutions interact, leading to the emergence of a "network society [3]." This transformation has enabled the creation of global networks that facilitate the flow of information across geographical boundaries.

Scholars like Appadurai (1996) emphasize the role of global communication in cultural exchange, noting that the flow of information can lead to the formation of hybrid identities and cultures. Additionally, the economic implications of global communication are critical; Gereffi and Fernandez-Stark (2016) highlight how global value chains rely on effective communication to coordinate activities and enhance efficiency in international trade [4].
